Amrita, next Madhuri Dixit?

The popularity that Madhuri Dixit attained with 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', Amrita has attained with 'Vivah'.

Besides after Madhuri, if there is any actress who has captured the interest of world famous painter M.F Husain, it is Amrita Rao. She also inspired him to start a series of paintings on her and the movie 'Viivah'.

"Amrita has tremendous potential. After Madhuri Dixit, she will go a long way. Amrita's portrayal of Poonam is marvelous, she is the ideal woman of today, someone who still has her Indian values intact." is his take on her.

Meanwhile Madhuri has expressed her wish to meet Amrita although she haven’t see 'Vivah' yet. "No, I haven't yet seen 'Vivah', though I am very keen to do so. I haven't met Amrita yet but I've heard wonderful things about her. I'm looking forward to meeting her," says Madhuri.

So it is quite natural that people compare her to Madhuri Dixit. But Amrita is all modest about this comparison. She believes that by comparing a newcomer like herself to a legend, we are doing great injustice to Madhuri.

But by the look of her soaring career graph, it doesn’t seem a bad comparison at all.
